So, even if you happen to see my name — Jeff Wheeler — over and over again (Jeff Wheeler, Jeff Wheeler, Jeff Wheeler), don’t assume that it’s because I’m an egotistical guy that thinks so highly of himself that he writes on his blog and thinks that people (like you) are interested in reading it. Of course, that may still be true (that is, the part about me being egotistical, not the part about you being interested in reading it, because apparently we already know that that parts true), but I’d ask if you’d reserve judgment for just a few more paragraphs, at least.
Since you’re reading this page, you apparently have an interest in learning more about me. I’ve anticipated a few questions that you might have.
Q: What’s your name again?
A: Jeff. Jeff Wheeler.
Q: Why the name, “according to jeff”?
A: I was thinking of “the world according to jeff”, but that just seemed too long. So I shortened it. While I’d like to think that the name of my blog originated before the According to Jim TV show, and therefore isn’t a blatant ripoff, according to wikipedia, that just isn’t so. Either wikipedia is wrong, or I am. You decide.
(I honestly don’t remember thinking about that TV show with a similarly sounding name, though.)
Q: Why a blog?
A: Let’s just say that this is my way of influencing tens of people through the power of the written word. Or, let’s just say that I enjoy it.
Q: Where do you live?
A: If you don’t live in Iowa, then I reside in Cedar Rapids (Iowa). If you live close to Cedar Rapids, then I actually reside in Hiawatha. When we travel, we usually say that we’re from Cedar Rapids, as you’re more likely to have heard of Cedar Rapids than of Hiawatha, which is a suburb (if Cedar Rapids has suburbs) of Cedar Rapids.
Q: What do you do?
A: I’m a husband, a father (here and here), a worship leader at our local church, and a partner in Laridian, a small business that publishes the Bible and related books for various computer systems.
Q: Are you a member of any networking sites?

Q: Which superhero are you most like?

A: You probably thought you’d stump me with that one, didn’t you? I wasn’t really a Superman fan when I was younger. I was more into Spiderman and the Fantastic Four. However, according to the Superhero Quiz, I am most like Superman. Even though I can’t leap tall buildings in a single bound, I’m sure there’s some significance to this. Now if I only knew what it was!
