google vs. bing
I’m curious whether any of my faithful readers are making the switch from google to bing, and, if so, what your experience with bing has been.
I just tried to try it (bing, that is) for the first time earlier this evening, and it froze Firefox and my entire PC. I’m unsure if this is a nefarious plot by Microsoft or a symptom of heating/RAM problem I previously discussed. In this case, I’d really prefer that it was a nefarious plot by Microsoft…

Every time I’ve tried Bing I’ve been quite dissatisfied with the results. Bing consistently shows me results I don’t care about before what I’m actually looking before, while Google more often gives me what I need right towards the top. As far as I’m concerned, Bing is no better than old MSN/Live search (meaning not very good).

I tried it too – not willingly – it just happened. I had the same experience as you, firefox locked up, IE didn’t work as quickly as it had and I still couldn’t find what I wanted. So far I have not been that impressed with it.

Microsoft Bing would be the closet competitor of Google. but i still use Google because it shows more relevant results on the serp.

i have been evaluating the search results of Microsoft Bing compared to Google and they are comparable. Bing gives almost the same relevant search results just like Google.

Bing search engine gives almost the same search results as Google. Looks like Google will now have a tough competition when it comes to search engine technology.

i am a user of Microsofts BING search engine and it is as good as google for static webpage search. for searching blogs, i think google gives more relevant search results compared bing.
