Who pays full price?
Monday, December 20th, 2010I have recently had quite a bit of medical services performed as a result of an unexpected cancer diagnosis. As a result, I’ve been receiving lots of statements from the providers and my health insurance company. Note this recent statement.

Amount billed by provider: $9,455.50
Discount negotiated by insurance: $7,586.68
Amount paid by insurance: $1,868.82
It makes me wonder who pays full price.
